we started softbolt because the math broke. spotify pays artists fractions of a cent per stream. tiktok rewards what the algorithm wants today. the people who actually love music — the ones who tell their friends, who buy the shirt, who show up at the venue — got pushed to the margin.

so we built the inverse. listeners are the algorithm. every paying subscriber's name appears on the artist page they support. discovery comes from people you can name, not from a model. one paid subscription unlocks the ability to boost any track on the platform — your taste, made public, moves other listeners.

softbolt is invite-only for artists. you have to own your masters. no labels uploading. no AI-generated music. small on purpose, durable by design.
